About Wadsworth Modern

Wadsworth Modern had humble beginnings in a small shed in northern, Utah. In 1993, brothers Mark and Paul Wadsworth inadvertently started their company while designing and building modern furniture pieces for Mark’s senior project to complete his BFA degree at Brigham Young University. Paul’s education and experience as machinist /gunsmith coupled with three impactful years of art education that both brothers enjoyed in high school, proved to be a viable combination for success. Hard work and turning away no challenge paved the way for bigger and better opportunities. That growth necessitated building a team of skilled designers and craftsmen who shared their same passion and work ethic.

We are extremely passionate about beautiful yet functional design and its value. The creative process starts in our design center with experienced design professionals and a well stocked materials and resource area. Creative problem solving, inspiring esthetic, proper function and high value are key principles in our approach to furniture design. Our aim is value oriented design solutions.

Our furniture is designed, engineered and manufactured by our skilled team at Wadsworth Modern in our Vineyard, Utah USA facility.

Modern society has embraced a disposable mentality with much of what is "cheaply" manufactured ending up in landfills. We believe that everything we create for you should last for generations. We take this to heart not only in the materials we use, but in the timeless designs we create. We create beautiful, useful objects that have soul; objects that transcend time and trend.

We continually strive to contribute to a cleaner environment. Some of our efforts include:

  • Designing to maximize use of raw materials
  • Recycling all reclaimable materials from the manufacturing processes
  • Utilizing raw materials with recycled content
  • Creating products that are themselves recyclable
  • Updating raw materials with greener alternatives
  • Metal finishing process 100% V.O.C. free
  • Wood core products formaldehyde free
  • Plywood products only from sustainable sources
  • Large product selection and services which minimize numerous shipments.
  • Recycling and using recycled shipping pallets
  • Utilizing reusable shipping blankets
